Everyone should have self-love, everyone should read this book…

I hardly ever bother to write meaningful reviews but for this book I’m making an exception. I’m only sorry it’s taken me so long. I bought this book back un January and in that time I’ve actually read it twice. I read it once and then last month I read it again, going through and highlighting the most meaningful messages and words for me. I love the layout of this book, it is simple and accessible for all. It’s split into about 7 parts, you can read them in order or dip in and out. However, I’d recommend in order just because some of the latter parts relate to earlier chapters. It’s written using personal experiences to exemplify the points being made. The title talks of greatness and it does direct you in ways to achieve this but the main thing I love about the book is that it is centred around growth and happiness. When I first read the book it really helped me focus on how I could help myself at a time I was feeling quite lost. I was lacking self-love until how I don’t think I’ve ever had it in my life. The second time I read it I wanted to remind myself how far I’d come and also refocus on parts I hadnt worked on yet. I do now follow the author on the gram and have to say he reakly projects positivity but is also ‘real’ with his comments sometimes you might feel uncomfy because the truth can hurt. Honestly I just feel the book is written by someone genuine who does want to help people. Everyone should read this book it’s time to change your perspective 💫

A MUST READ FOR EVERYONE! – I just got it today, and have almost finished it!!!!

Normally I am not the best when it comes to reading, I’ll pick a book up one minute and set it down the next, it normally takes me months, or even if I do to finish a book, especially with me having ADHD. However this book is amazing, it is a must read and it is so well written and would be helpful for anyone struggling in life especially with today’s world.I just received the book today and because of how well and interesting and helpful and insightful this book is! I haven’t been able to put it down. It was originally bought as a present for my mother but I opened it to have a glance and now I am more than halfway through because it is so good and so well packaged. I know you don’t judge a book by it’s cover but this ones cover and itself are amazing.Summary because I tend to waffle = If you are struggling in life and need some help and guidance, or even if you want a good book to read, I feel this book would be good for you. I’m currently about to finish the book which is a first for me (never finished a book in a day or same sitting before), and order another one for a few family members, It’s a Must read for everyone! It’s also something I will be rereading to make sure I take in its full advice.

    Most inspirational book, Highly recommend!!

Where can I start… this book has changed me on how I preserve the outer world in which “Good Vibes Good Life”and has enhanced my knowledge. It made me understand both implicit and explicit perspectives of life, this is evident from introduction of the book, where Vex king speaks about self-love and how to achieve a high vibration. The introduction instantly engages the reader as vex king portrays his own experience of life in which he gives an insight to his own experience at university and his challenging parts of life. Personally I believe this book is a master pierce and truly finds a deeper meaning behind ones soul. Vexking truly means every single word and has a purpose for everything written in the book. The book is for the wider audience in which it can fit in a ranges of all ages in which could be for pleasure reading, people who have gone through a rough time or someone who just simply needs some guidance on general life. My sister and I are students and I am currently studying English literature in which this book serves a variety on literacy techniques which can be depicted so it is useful for educational purposes as well as for pleasure, to be able to look at how one overviews the world. Furthermore, in chapter 3 vek king speaks about “negative people” not only does he educate people but he leaves the reader with empowerment and a sense of knowledge how to block out these people in life and it further changed my perspective of life. Vex kings aim in the book is to: “help you become better than you did yesterday, every day, in each and every way” and whole headily he has filled it with self awareness and knowledge in which it applies to the real world. Well done to yourself and the two most important women in your life kaushal and your beautiful mother, you inspire many people and the book solemnly has guided me and would definitely recommended this book.Karishma and Kareena xx

Im obsessed with this book, this is now my bible, absolute go to book 💞. when your on that journey of finding yourself again and you crave a better mindset, and how to accept yourself, make yourself a priority, handling negative people, manifesting goals and finding your purpose, well this is the book for you, it covers it all but in a such a way that just fits, I literally couldn’t put the book down. ive highlighted so many parts of the book that will help me now and in the future, I just love it.He talks about how finding time for you is so important and that if you feel guilty about taking time out you absolutely shouldn’t, cause what use are you to yourself or anybody if you don’t rest your mind and your body. “sometimes, you have to to unplug yourself from the world for a moment, so you can reset yourself”Its such a positive book and he touches on some real sensitive things that will make you re think your life and how you choose to live it, there’s such a big variety of contents in the book its brill. Achieving true happiness- “Happiness doesn’t come from other people, places or things, it comes from within” for anybody wanted to read an addictive can’t put down book, or anybody on a self development or mental health journey, or anyone that just wants to read a bloody good book that’s positive and inspiring this is the one. (only my opinion though) 🙂

    High vibes

It’s a very good book to read, I gained a lot of knowledge from this book to stay in high frequency (good vibes). I was going though a lot of difficulties during the time I was reading this book, that’s the reason I decided to read this book. This book has given me courage and to stay positive in all bad situations and to see it as an experience. As a result I have seen every bad situation as a outcome to learn from it and change things for positive. I know these changes won’t happen overnight however I have to work on it for some time and I’m going to action it.

    Everyone should read this book!

Real inspiring and insightful book. The subjects discussed in the book really breakdown how to promote self love, putting your mind and body first and how to improve your life by positive action and habits. In the last couple years I’ve been reading more Self Help books especially when dealing with a negative period in my life few years ago and I really feel that “Good Vibes, Good Life” is one of those books that provides some great inspiring chapters to help those going through difficult periods in their life or not being able to face certain situations. The book has been added to my collection of favourite self-help books.I received this book in early December and read through it the same week. Taken away some valuable knowledge and steps/actions that I apply in my daily life and routine and I can say that my mind is a lot more clearer by applying them by putting yourself first, appreciation, using affirmations and much more.Vex really helps provide different ways to improve your life and to help increase and better the “vibes” you give out to the world but he also provides his own perspective in each chapter including his past life experiences which you can really feel & relate to where I feel I’ve been in a similar scenario and having the insight of how to approach it in future to not have the same negative effect to myself again.I’ve been following Vex King for years now, from his music productions, to his quotes on Instagram & Twitter and his Podcasts. He has always been inspiring with what he shares with his followers and more importantly real. I appreciate his work and mission and his time in sharing his wisdom and life experience into this book.Highly recommend this book to everyone.

Open you mind and buy this book

I read this book in two days. I bought it cause my emotional state was really bad. I think I hit a bottom. Maybe not as harsh as other but I knew I can’t live the way I was. I was unhappy, without purpose, living in the past. One of my friends suggested trying mindfulness and self love books so I started researching. This booked appeared on Amazon but I looked at it and was like- no way I am reading that crap. After couple of days I was looking again and then read the reviews of it and bought it. I was like- hmm, I can waste £10. I was so wrong. This book is amazing. I am a person who couple months ago would tell you, everything this guy wrote is totally from his imagination. But when you hit a bottom, you want to believe that stuff will help you. And I really believe this book will help me. I would really recommend it. It all makes sense but you need to open yourself to it and give it a try.

    Very simplistic and not helpful

I came across this book unaware that it was the Instagram Influencer’s book of choice for reading whilst sat poolside with a cocktail in the other hand.Firstly, I have to praise Vex King. He’s clearly read up on the various topics he covers in his book (namely The Secret) and incorporated them into a single book, re-purposed as his own vision for how to live. Bringing it all together, he does quite well. However, that is where the positives end.The easiest way to describe the real-world application of the book is comparable to when you see flashy quotes on a website, or a bus stop, or *shock gasp horror* Instagram. You see them, chuckle at the play on words, and move on with your day completely forgetting their impact. The idea caught you in the moment, but ultimately has no bearing on the rest of your life. That is this book.Vex starts the book explaining how he got to where he is, and the “struggles” he faced along the way. These include incidents such as smashed glass and blood, and nearly missing a coursework deadline. For nearly all city dwellers, or even university students, there is nothing here that would explain how these events would change his life and mindset. It’s the equivalent of saying I saw someone smoking in school, and became the next CEO of Google as a result. There’s no real link, other than the one imagined, to re-purpose it to fit Vex’s story. And that is why the book sets off on the wrong foot, because the examples are entirely contradictory. Vex tells you how he had very little money in university, but did not want to ask his mother for help because she would work extra jobs and starve in order to send him money. But he then follows up by saying he still managed to go to clubs and enjoy university life. It paints him with as a victim, a martyr and your average Joe all within the same example. It is an attempt to re-purpose himself as you, to come across as understanding your problems because they were his problems. The book then delves into “his” various theories, namely vibrations. But again, it is all rather light and basic. Telling us we should eat healthier because the body vibrates at a better frequency is great, but then there is no expansion on this point. Should I eat rice? Brown or white? How much fruit? What about milk? None of this is covered – just told to you in sweeping statements such as “eat healthier”. Slightly more information could be found via a Google search. And that’s where this book sorely falls short. It is not a self-help book. I mean sure, it will tell you that Vex also felt the way you may have felt at some point in your life, assuming you believe the contradictions. And sure, it may help you in that you don’t feel alone. But there’s no expansion, no guidance on next steps. I felt sad, you feel sad. I feel happier, you should feel happy too. That’s the principle – walk my path and you’ll live my imagined life.

    Powerful, inspiring, life-changing

I brought Good Vibes, Good Life over a year ago now when I was in desperate need of practicing self-love. This book is nothing other than incredible! It opened my eyes to value what really matters in life. Pictured is one of my favourite pages; and I refer back to this as well as many others all of the time. It is certainly not one of those books that you read and then stick on your shelf to go dusty – it helps me through a day of struggle or when I’m feeling a bit stuck! Fast forward a year and I have a whole new outlook and attitude towards life – all because of this book! I have the new book order and I can’t wait to get my hands on it!

    Amazingly perfect

This book is truly outstanding! And a book that I will continue to read again and again..after a really low mood this book was incredible for the pick me up I needed, it helped me so much to put things into prospective taking into account mine and other peoples feelings.I had gone through a series of toxic encounters with people who I allowed to come in and out of my life and I have now come to realise that if someone isn’t hearing you that’s ok and it’s not because of you and because of that understanding my worth! That is just one very small example, I have taken so much more from this book and it has completely shifted my way of thinking..it’s a definite must read guys!

The best self-help book on the market 🙂

This book… just wow! This book is my favourite self-help book out there. The words I have read from this book will stay with me for life. I have had this book for 11 months and I still refer to it whenever I face a negative time in my life. This book stands as a reminder of how the universe works. I loooove how vex has sections in the book, each focusing on different aspects. Whenever I feel down, I look at the different sections and read the one that applies to my situation and it really deciphers the problem mentally. I’m not a consistent reader, but when I first bought this book, I took it everywhere with me and found any excuse to read it. Now, I have the hard cover for when I’m at home and I even have the mobile version for when I am out and about. The style of writing, the book, the illustrations, everything is just perfect. Vex is an amazing writer and I will always be a fan of his work – thank you for sharing your knowledge and helping me through some really tough times. You have a fan for life!

    Good Vibes?

The book was, overall, technically professionally written and showed a good command of language.I do voluntary work as a career coach and mentor, but it is not my day job, so any new ideas or insights that can be used for a true positive outcome for the greater good, then I am eager to understand and pass on, if it is relevant to that cause.I, no doubt like many others, bought the book based on reviews and a catchy title, but in complete honesty, I do not know why the book came so highly recommended.I am a champion for mother nature and natural connection and enjoy a little mindfulness, but the author guiding me to tune into the frequency of the universe and asking it to give me whatever I desire and it will provide? I struggle with that. The earth has since its creation, been engulfed in frequencies which forever change in quantity and energy, given the universe is forever fluid.Lots of charts and tables used in the book to sell the idea of existing pseudo theories, such as from the secret, but as much as I am in awe of the stars (from what I can see of them from my garden, living in a city), I am sure it is not talking to me or awaiting contact.Though the author claims to have cured all his ills, and maybe he has and maybe this was just me, but reading between the lines, I had the feeling the author was still a little angry and aggrieved. Several mentions of people taking his soundbites and not giving him credit. Would one care if they had reached the tip of Masloe’s pyramid by tuning into good space vibrations whether someone stole a line of words if it were to help others?I really do not like to spread a negative comment, but if you are a little fragile and looking for some guidance, then I would say go for something that may help You understand You.I have read a number of Counselling, Coaching, Motivating and Psychotherapy books, so if you do not have the money to buy several books, then I would suggest something like the inside out revolution by Michael Neill.I’ll give 2 stars only because it takes courage and drive to get a book as far as an Amazon page, so in short, 2 points for effort.

As soon as I finished the last chapter, I decided now was the time and believe in my skill, myself and the universe! Since leave my career has soared with hard work but at the same time believing what is meant to be and In myself. This is a must ready and a re read always helps me

WHAT A BEAUTIFUL GEM, bringing good vibes, light and love to life

Literally does what it says on the front! You read this and FEEL the good vibes!!! It’s amazing! So well written, to make it so easy to read! (Even for someone who normally struggles or takes ages to get through a book!). The cover feels and looks lovely, and the text print and layout makes it a smooth, swift read. All the content is so captivating, interesting, insightful, also universal, relevant, so real and true, so helpful.. constant drops of wisdom, golden ideas and tips to deal with things better, and leaves you feeling a love, peace, joy, and light from within. I ordered this book as gifts for friends immediately, or it reminded whose who has it to get on with reading it – and even they were messaging me saying they keep reading and feeling the good vibes each day that week!Thank you Vex King for an incredible job with this book! I’ve lent mine to my mum but can’t wait to get it back to re-read it, and try and connect to the wisdom again more deeply.I know many reviews say this but honestly, EVERYONE AND ANYONE who can read at all CAN AND SHOULD READ THIS! Highly recommended for those who want to live their best life!

I love a good book and this book really exceeding my expectations. It’s easy to read and clear to understand each topic as it’s broken down very simply. The exercises are great and came with clear instructions.I’m a positive thinking person and always think the best of bad situations but this book has encouraged me to dig a bit deeper into my emotions which has helped me even more. The exercise on how to deal with negative situations allowed me to sit down and really think about how I felt about a current situation. I completed the exercise and it did wonders for me and allowed me overcome a situation I was confused, hurt, angry and frustrated with.I really enjoyed reading the book as I could relate to many subjects. It’s like a reality check that is realistic with no sugar coating.I have since purchased the book for others as this book is a great tool for anyone who wants to become a better person, live their best life and gather a further understanding!I’m looking forward to work on manifesting more seriously and make this year my best yet!Highly recommended!

Perfect for starting out on your journey!!!

I’ve always been interested in law of attraction, manifestation, spirituality etc – but not in the “over done” sense where it can get a little hazy what you’re actually practising etc. For example when you delve into spells etc they can seem great but when you research historically, the origins sometimes are a bit darker and I didn’t want to have any confusion on the origins of what I was reading and taking in. I wanted an in-depth and informative book to start out with, based on the simple concept of “what you give out is what you attract back”. This book doesn’t just cover that but also covers healing from past situations, understanding the timing of things, dealings with others, money matters, even food groups that can affect your overall vibration etc. It covered so much. I feel like after reading this book I can move forward into healing and transformation topics that I am actually drawn towards and that are relevant to me specifically, instead of scrolling through endless internet articles unsure of what I’m actually looking for. I just think if like me you’re just starting out on this journey, this is a really good place to start, but it is by no means basic either. I actually felt quite emotional at the end because it was so perfect for me at this time in my life, and I highlighted A LOT to refer back to. I’ll definitely be re-reading this many more times. The ONLY point in this book that could be argued was the subject of “the power words hold”, and a study done by somebody else was referenced where water was labelled with different words, some positive and some negative, and when frozen “the positive words on water made beautiful crystals and the negative made horrible deformed patterns”. I went to research and found that this study has been completely ruled out as false “scientifically” and after lots of argument about whether it was true or false, the guy that actually did the study was offered 1 million dollars to re-do the study for other people to see that it was “real and not tampered with” and he refused this offer – leading anyone with sense to believe that clearly it was tampered with. This does not change that OF COURSE if you have negative words thrown at you or allow them to stay in your mind, this will 100% affect your own energy. So the point that the author makes still stands without a doubt, this was just a bad example to use. I cross checked every other example in this book and it is flawless, everything written can be trusted and interpreted easily. Definitely recommend. Thank you Vex King! X

Good Reviews Do Not Validate Ideas – This Philosophy Leads to a Disastrous Mindset!

As a personal trainer I find myself in a constant battle trying to STOP my clients from following the ideas in this book. The premise ‘self-love is the key to unleashing your greatness’ has been proven by psychologists such as Roy Baumeister and Jean M. Twenge to have disastrous consequences for those who adhere to it.Self-esteem is not a bad thing in general, but it is by no means a prerequisite for initial success. The reality is that the opposite is true. Self-esteem is acquired as a RESULT of success, and we know this to be true from a wide array of data, one example being that Asian-American children have very low self-esteem yet achieve the highest grades in the USA.Vex King’s advice for ‘unlocking greatness’ backfires on his readers in two ways:The first is that it leaves the reader in a continuous loop of failure and procrastination. If Vex asserts that self-esteem needs to be present during the journey to success then his followers will logically, consciously or unconsciously, come to the conclusion that there’s no point pursuing success without first acquiring self-esteem. With this reasoning it can seem like self-esteem is as crucial as taking a passport to the airport, which is why it makes sense to prioritise acquiring self-esteem above all else, even the journey towards success itself. We can see this mentality manifest in unsuccessful people who spend much of their time consuming motivational material (like this book) in hopes of boosting their sense of self-worth, yet never seem to progress towards their goals because they never do the work that’s actually required to excel in their endeavour. As a result, they never actually gain a true foundation self-esteem (because it comes after the work) but instead become hooked on short-term feel-good highs that Instagram gurus and the wider self-help industry are more than willing to provide in constant supply. The second way Vex’s advice backfires on his readers is by helping to foster a closed-minded mentality. If you manage convince yourself that you have high self-esteem without actually having anything to prove such status then this can be considered a ‘delusion’. Delusional people tend to get very defensive about things because their conception of reality is very carefully constructed and, therefore, fragile.A delusional person will see any information that counters their poorly manufactured sense of self-esteem as a threat and will defend it, both internally and externally, because their entire understanding of their worth relies on it staying intact. Inwardly this manifests as denial of character flaws, avoidance of taking risks, and giving up with tasks quickly with a ready excuse to rationalise failure. Outwardly, it manifests as aggression towards behaviour deemed offensive, however the very reason it’s considered offensive is because they’re avoiding a reality that can shatter the delusion. All of this, once again, prevents a person from actually taking the risks and emotional feedback needed for success. Not only is the fundamental message of this book flawed it also serves as a recipe for entitlement, the type of thinking that leads someone to think they are owed something without having earned it. It is true that, on occasion, Vex advocates the necessity for hard work and gratitude, however the book is full of contradictions that negate this message every time. The most striking example of this is as follows:“Self-love is the balance between accepting yourself as you are while knowing you deserve better, and then working towards it.”This sounds nice on paper however when you really think about the message conveyed the advice quickly falls apart. Human beings are naturally lazy creatures. Unless we feel a sense of danger we tend to conserve our energy. If you are dangerously overweight and convince yourself to ‘accept yourself as you are’, then you rationalise yourself out of the motivation to actually lose that weight. Combine this with the message of ‘deserving better’ and ‘unconditional love towards yourself’ you end up with the likes of the ‘fat acceptance’ movement – essentially people who have deluded themselves into self-love and inaction but feel victimised by naturally negative social feedback to their appearance. The entitlement mentality is reinforced by the fact that throughout the book Vex frequently shows disdain for the idea of ‘settling for mediocrity’. Again, there lie two problems in this message:The first is that mediocrity is subjective, and so not only does the notion vary from person to person but can also change in meaning for the individual themselves. A BMW 3 Series may seem like a luxury for a 17-year-old yet mediocre for a 60-year-old. The vague advice of telling somebody not to settle for mediocrity leaves them in a continuous state of dissatisfaction and ingratitude as the standard for mediocrity is never declared. In the book “The Paradox of Choice” by psychologist Barry Schwartz, he makes the case that ‘settling’ for ‘good enough’ is actually far more satisfying than constantly searching for ‘best’. For some people, working a nine to five job and coming home to a family may be ‘mediocre’ on a grand scale – yet still extremely satisfying by their own standards.Vex also preaches a message that is a poison spreading through our culture. What he, knowingly or unknowingly, advocates is ‘hedonism’. This is the philosophy of living a life characterised by the pursuit of pleasure and minimisation of pain, and he admits this early in the book where he states his intention is to release people ‘from undesirable feelings and increase feelings of joy.’ It’s also plainly evident in title of his book ‘Good Vibes, Good Life’.Telling people ‘if it feels good do it’ sounds liberating on the surface, but what it also implies is ‘if it doesn’t feel good, don’t do it.’ This advice also only seems relevant if you assume that most people today are unhappy due to excessive self-constraint. We all know, however, that this isn’t the case. In the 21st century the problem that plagues most people is that they seriously lack discipline and it’s specifically because they keep engaging in ‘feel good’ behaviours in the short term while sacrificing their long-term potential. The fact is that if you want to ‘unleash your greatness’ you need to consistently work hard and make sacrifices, and unfortunately this doesn’t always feel good. Nobody is motivated to go for their scheduled run every single time, and even during the runs that they are motived for, it’s still not a ‘feel good’ experience. Most of the time you’re trying to convince yourself why you should keep enduring the pain and you do it for the satisfaction and progress towards your goals.Instead of living by the self-defeating and weak-minded mantra of ‘good vibes good life’, it would be better to adhere to the wisdom of former US Navy SEAL commander Jocko Willink that ‘discipline equals freedom’ because it is the ability to overcome your lack of motivation and to do the task regardless that separates the winners and losers.Fans of Vex King may wonder that if his theory is destructive then how come it’s sold so many copies and has so many good reviews? The popularity and enjoyment of a book does not grant validity to its ideas. Hitler’s Mein Kampf sold well in the 1930s, and had Amazon/Goodreads existed it would have undoubtedly been flooded with 5 star reviews, but that, of course, does not validate its theories.

I didn’t think I could do it until now

I am dyslexic and have been avoiding reading books as much as I can, yet this book very quickly changed me as a person. Firstly it was so easy to read that I had felt I had actually accomplished something big by getting through it so quickly. I felt I had been waiting for the right answer to situations that I did not know how to deal with and this is the first time that I had been given the answers to every aspect of life. This book is so relatable, it puts into words feelings that I could not explain, it understands me and trusts me more than I do myself, yet it has taught me that I should accept myself and that’s the key to inner peace. It talks much about balance and I think this is a key aspect which has changed the way I look at things. One of the challenges that I have been facing is that I am the type of person that doesn’t speak up when someone has hurt me I keep it in, I never feel as if my opinion is important because I choose peace over confrontation. A lot of the company I am around are vibrating much lower than I am and it brings my vibration level down with it. This book has given me confidence that I should not let myself fall to the same vibration level as they are and I should focus on keeping my vibration levels up. It’s taught me self worth and I highly recommend this book

Great as the starting point in your journey but…

This book in itself is great for those looking to explore implementing positive changes in their lives. If you’ve no idea where to even begin then it would be worth a go. For that it gets 5*.But if you already have an understanding of vibration and know to eat organic whole foods, avoid alcohol, not to gossip, to think positively, take time for yourself, manifest your desires etc then this won’t bring anything new to the table for you.Vex makes many important points throughout with little follow through and where elaboration is needed in order for the reader to really connect or relate I found that the chapter would end and you’d be onto the next one. It feels rushed.I also can’t agree with the claim that Vex shares “deep spiritual knowledge” within this book, that really isn’t the case. Vex is sharing very basic but accessible practices and ideas. There is very little depth here.I was personally left disappointed in the simplicity of the book. But we are all different and it’s evident in the popularity of the book that this does in fact resonate with a large demographic of people which is a brilliant thing and I hope it has helped them begin their journeys towards their goals.

    Great book

I haven’t read many books since I left college around 25years ago. I blame it on being in the building trade and using a lot of YouTube and google for any info I need.So this year I decided I should try and get into more books and less screen time, this is where this book came into my life.I can actually say I thoroughly enjoyed this book from looking after yourself mentally, all the way up to aiming for future goals. The book has a nice sized font and is spaced out nicely making it also an easy read. Would recommend

    A celebration of positivity!

Profound, positive and commendable. Vex King writes ‘Good Vibes, Good Life’ from a place of truth and experience that grips the reader in every sentence. This book is unlike any other ‘self-help’ book as it gives the reader an opportunity to continually reflect on how you can change your current situation to create positivity and become a better version of yourself. My experience of some self-care books that I have read often leave the reader with a sense of guilt or fear about your situation whereas this one leaves you with a sense of peace after every chapter; so for that Vex King, I applaud you! Similarly, this book has been so astutely written as it is so easy to read and flows seamlessly into each chapter, also something that is difficult to find with non-fiction books!I read this book at a time when I felt at an all time low. I believe this book landed on my doorstep at the right time and began reading with an open mind that this will be a tool to help me better myself. The biggest thing that I took away from this book was that it resonated with my current view of life and I felt this book provided me with a sense of confirmation that I am on the right track. Having been let down by a number of people, I particularly absorbed the chapter on handling negative people and comparing only yourself. I believe that this book is special, as each time you read it, you will pick out different messages that will stand out to you in your time of need. I already can’t wait to read it again once I’ve acted upon the notes I made… (I will be passing this book around to others first)! As a follower of Vex King on social media, I was instantly drawn to buying his book to invest in myself after a traumatic year. One of the main reasons why I felt inclined to read this book was that his social media celebrates and encourages people to not only look after yourself through the inside out via positivity and the art of the law of vibration but also that it is acceptable to ask for help, to talk to others and share your experiences with others. As a result of this, I would like to say a massive thank you to the author for being brave enough to share those experiences with us the reader, to reveal how to turnaround tough situations and also for spreading positivity with people who often don’t have the courage to believe in themselves, such as myself.Thank you once again, Vex. I hope you are encouraged by your readers as much as you have encouraged us.Anita Guest

The guide to finding mastering self love, finding purpose and achieving true happiness.

Wow. Where do I even begin? I have been a big follower of Vex King’s work from Instagram for a good couple of years and honestly love his content. I find he and his work so inspiring. His authenticity and genuineness really exudes in everything he does. I was really excited for his book and he certainly did not disappoint.I thought it was nice that he chose to share candid experiences from his life. These not only to allow his followers to get to know him on a deeper and more personal level but also understand his beginnings, how he applied the teachings making his journey more relatable and achievable.I have learnt that self love is not just a concept but rather an art to be mastered. I think that the interpretation of self-love can often become confused with being selfish or inconsiderate. However it is rather an embodiment of ‘empowerment and liberation’; something which I in fact once found difficult to comprehend and understand. By Vex King splitting the book into seven parts, he allows the reader to clearly follow the journey to finding their purpose, practicing self-love beautifully and achieving ultimate happiness. There are no shortcuts to a achieving success in life, you have to work for it. Personal growth is no exception. By breaking the path into stages, one is able to fully explore and focus on different aspects of their life to wholly develop as a person. One thing which really struck is me how we are the creator of our own lives. We hold the power. What we want we can have if we set the right intention and act. Anything that happens in our life (not only ourselves but our sphere of influence, experiences and painful moments) are a result of our own emotions, thoughts and actions. “So if you are thinking the same thoughts and you know that your thoughts create your reality- then same thoughts lead to the same choices, the same choices lead to the same behaviours, the same behaviours create the same experiences, the same experiences produce the same feelings and the same feelings drive the very same thoughts.” It becomes an endless cycle. Thus, to gain control of our thoughts we must be able to understand our emotions and be able to process them so that we can control our reactions. Only then can we transform them so they have a positively impact. King draws on problems and important things to think about in both an individual’s microcosm and macrocosm which are both important when implementing positivity and raising vibration levels.Personally having worked with a mind coach myself, I was able to appreciate King’s words on much a deeper level. Reading this book and analysing myself with these concepts allows to see the progress I have made in my own journey. I could write an essay of how good this book is, more than all my university essays combined. But I would like to say that King’s meticulous, considered structure, easy to read yet complex and inspiring content and most importantly his kindness, genuineness, authenticity and passion not only make ‘Good Vibes Good Life’ an resonant book to remember but also portrays a beautiful journey to one leading a life of purpose, possibility and positivity. Thank you Vex, this book is a testament to you and I am a very proud Vex King follower.

    Amazing

After dealing with quiet a few knock backs recently and a grim 2019 I decided to try and take a positive approach. it’s so easy to become negative when everything around you is going so wrong. It’s even harder to get yourself out of the rut you’re in and try to focus on positivity. i knew I needed to change the way I was, in order to find happiness and be positive. I ended up doing some research and came across this book. The reviews stood out Massively for me.I barely read, I barely have time so I never thought I’d get my head stuck in but told myself I would try. This book came and at first I was a bit sceptical. I had never considered buying a book like this to help me look and work towards things differently. I started reading and within 10 minutes I found myself not wanting to stop!!This book is incredible, I was actually sad that I had finished it. I don’t think I will find another book similar to this. It really has made me change the way I think without a doubt. What an amazing guy vex king is!Normally if I tried to get into a book I’d last a few chapters before finding it boring. This just made me spend every bit of spare time reading, even if it was only a few pages at a time. I couldn’t wait to carry on where I left to read more. It also lifted my mood. I started reading for a short time first thing in the morning & Before bed. It relaxed me and totally changed the way I felt about myself. It helped for me because I could relate so much to what is in this book I was full of emotions reading it due to my personal life.Definitely a must read 🙌🏽

    The book is okay

This book I feel like it’s been projected wrongly. On how it’s been advertised on how it will help you like a guide, but it’s not it’s about the writers life story and what he has experienced in life and how he overcome most things in his life but will hopefully help others.

Good book, taken ideas of many other great people…

Great book but I personally didn’t learn anything new. I read Earl Nightgale’s material, as well as Bob Proctor’s, and this seems like ideas taken from their writtings. So if you haven’t familiarised yourself with some of the greatest people in that area, than you will definitely find something new here, otherwise, don’t bother buying.

    Love this book !

I got to read this book from a friend of mine more than a year ago I believe. Ever since then I have wanted to own a copy of my own. Very recently, last month after reading ‘healing is the new high’, I purchased good life good vibes on my new kindle so that it’s always there. The thing is I didn’t need to purchase it considering I already read the book, but for a long time I have been telling myself I need a copy of my own to keep with me so that I can constantly refer back or read again. I am not even a book worm , I don’t read much books at all but for some reason, but both times when I read both these book I was going through a very low phase in my life, and these books have helped shed some light and helped give me strength. Not many books that I have read in my life have made me want to own them for life , I can honestly these these are two of a very few that have made me feel that way.

    A must read!!!!

WOW WOW WOW!! So I’ve actually read this book before, and it is one of my favourite books but I wanted to read it again and I’m so glad that I did, it resonated so much more with me the second time around 👏This book is absolutely incredible! Do you want to truly love yourself but don’t know how? Do you want to transform your negative emotions to positive ones? Do you want lasting happiness? Then this book is for you, it gives you the tools to do the above and so much more!It talks about vibes, positive lifestyle habits, making yourself a priority, accepting yourself, manifesting goals, pain & purpose, how to deal with procrastination, how to meditate ❤️Some of my fave words from this book are;✨Sometimes you have to unplug yourself from the world for a moment, so you can reset yourself✨Drama is for TV, not for real life. Dont play a part in someone else’s episode in which they are the only star✨Before you try to fix someone’s else’s vibe, make sure your not killing your own in the process. Protect your own energy firstIf you haven’t read this book already, then IT IS A MUST 👏👏👏👏❤️❤️❤️❤️

Moody? Unhappy? Negative outlook? This book will change your life.

I quite honestly believe this book made its way into my life. I just moved to a street called Vibes and I was looking for a cute coffee table book so I thought it was ironic to get this book as decor. Well I received it and was casually reading through and became hooked. This book changed my life. I go back and re read it every time I’m in a bad mood or feeling anxious. I have convinced 5 of my friends also to read it because it is too good to not be shared. The authors tone is soothing and calming and I couldn’t find one point he made that I disagreed with. I’ve been unhappy all of my life and alway hoping that a new job or a new apartment or a new partner would bring me the happiness I so desperately needed and I never realized that happiness comes within. I have to choose to be happy (it sounds complicated but trust me he explains it in the book). Nothing and no one can make you happy except yourself. I now re-read this book daily and live every day by the words of Vex King. Also if you don’t love reading this is a super easy read. Just trust me, you will enjoy it.

A book for those who battle with their mental health!

I would highly recommend this book to anyone suffering from long-term mental health problems. I have struggled a lot with my own mental health from a young age, caused by constant negative experiences in my home life, and personal life. In turn, these experiences affected not only my own self-confidence, and self-esteem, but allowed other people’s opinions, judgements, and actions to negatively define the person I thought I was and let the constant battle of my health take over my life. And still, to this day, I continue to battle with my mental health. This book was genuinely helpful, I truly do mean this, one thing I didn’t expect was the way that I could relate to many of the authors personal and emotional experiences (including home life, and university), but it also showed me that I wasn’t alone, and I’m not the only one going through rough times. It also helped me to view my negative thoughts, feelings, and attitudes towards things in a more positive light, but this is something I must continue working on to help myself in the long run. I now have a better understanding of my emotions to understand why I felt the way I did and the way I do, and I am able to use the tips to better myself just like he did.Truthfully, I purchased this self-help book thinking it wouldn’t do much for me, but after reading it, I revisit it when I feel those negative thoughts flooding back and try to go over specific chapters to stop me falling back into the darker places I never want to revisit again. It takes someone to go through mental health to understand how to conquer it, so I appreciate his honesty in admitting what he went through in his life to become a positive inspiring role model today. I hope I can achieve the same and help others out there too through a career in mental health. Thank you Vex!

    A bit vague and meandering

I hate to give a negative book review, but I found this to be a very disappointing read. It felt as though the author tried to cover a vast array of topics and ideas and ended up just skimming over each of them without going into any real depth or giving much practical advice. It felt like a bunch of half-thought ideas thrown together if I’m being completely honest. However, if you’ve completely new to personal development books or the law of attraction (which King refers to a lot throughout this book), it might be a good introduction as it covers the basics. On the other hand, if you’re someone who reads a lot of those kinds of books then, like me, you might find it lacks a lot of depth.I loved a lot of the sentiments in this book, but I feel it was a very surface-level view of these ideas.

What we already know but we choose to ignore.

I only gave a 4 because although I love the message from the book we already know these things but we choose to ignore them.Having just completed several Mental health exams I now know that we have to promote positivity. Trust me if you see the positive rather than the negatives life will be much happier.Sounds easy, right? However imagine you have just hit hard times ..being positive is the last thing you feel like doing. You have lost a love one, your job, going through a divorce or illness the last thing you want to do is wake up and see your blessings in life. We can plunge into depression and once there we find we can’t get out of that very dark tunnel.Without motivation our lives become draining, boring and extremely sad. What this book is suggesting is that we experience the bad times in life to learn lessons that spur us on our journey and rather than keep returning to negative thoughts why don’t we just try to be positive, can’t hurt us right? It was an easy book to read,I like his honesty and his style but this is not a book that works miracles on depression. For that you need medical intervention and counselling. Good luck to all those embarking on changes in their lives.

A book of anecdotes, only 2 examples of practical advice.

Quite an average book really, but I still read it in 2 sittings hoping it would get better, or there’d be something insightful in the next chapter….no…maybe he’s saving it until the last chapter….nope…. It has a lot of ideas taken from other books, and never really goes into detail or any depth on the areas he talks about. The main theme throughout is on vibrations in your body, and how you should vibrate at a high level, not a low levelIt’s just a few stories from his life where he claims to have profound insight, then doesn’t go anywhere with it, then on to the next chapter. No scientific research to back up his own claims either, he does say that he’s not a professional etc at the beginning. The book relies on a lot of the things he says are the research from other peopleHe tells you what you should be doing, but doesn’t tell you HOW to implement in real life. Parts can make you think, but don’t offer a practical solution. The only things he says ‘HOW’ are on how to identify the emotions you are feeling, and learn to change them, but again leaves it up to you on HOW to do thatAnd the second is instructions on how to meditate. Which is readily available on the internet. There is a 3rd, how to not procrastinateThat’s all the practical advice the book offersIt’s all been done better in other booksOverall I was left disappointed with the book, after seeing all the great reviews. Looks like I’m in the minority. I’ll say it could be a good introduction and you can research the topics he brings up in greater depth elsewhere

    Divine Masculine Energy

Vex King is a renowned social media influencer. He harnesses a balance between spirituality and purpose. His posts are unique and his voice is idiosyncratic. This book is accessible and informative for ALL – whether you are new to spiritual growth or you want to improve on spirituality. When I received the book, I felt a shift in energy – a good one. I felt at peace when reading through this, I felt in sync and it was like the book radiated good vibes, nothing but positive joy and purpose. He divides the book into chapters and sections, which is helpful. He consolidates the information and gives useful practical advice. There is a lot of proficient skills and techniques in this book, which is handy. It’s insightful and inspirational. It has been a great source of motivation and I am determined to vibrate higher.Even though it is his first book, I really hope and pray that he continues to write other books, blogs, and social media posts – we need more positivity in a world that’s so full of hate and spite. I am sending you nothing but Good Vibes Only for the Good Life. I am grateful for the purchase.Thank you for helping others in a meaningful way and inspiring us to live our lives more authentically and true to ourselves :)Many young people, especially young boys, can benefit from this book. You are a role model.Don’t stop writing, keep learning, keep posting and keep going with your journey! xXx
