  1. Ernst St. Louis

    Recommended to all overthinker.

It is a fact by not having too many unorganized objects, details, or cluttered space on your mind can lead to less anxiety, therefore less stress, indeed. And it is a reality that overthinking is destroying many lives in today’s society with so many cluttered space on our mind. One can admit, it is difficult to face the challenge of recognizing and overcoming your weaknesses and I agree with the author that “a spiritual perspective” is helpful and necessary for everyone to combat such a weakness for overthinking is not the solution. This book is a plan to overcome anxiety by any means possible. Don’t you think it is time to break the cycle that brings anxiety and suffering, making your life painful, and exceedingly miserable. However we shouldn’t silence all negative feeling either. I assure you it is the book of the moment and I gladly recommend it to every overthinker.

    Give Me Research Not Proselytizing

I wanted a collection of techniques to stop my chronic overthinking. This book is a down home, set of basic ideas along with Bible verses. A disappointing purchase.

    Thinking with Biblical Guidance

The title of the book attracted me due to my personal needs. This book provides detailed and step-by-step information, with valuable examples and supporting biblical references. It is amazing to see how Shakespeare’s lifetime experiences, described in the book, mirror our own. This book is very relevant to our time.

    Excellent

Helped in so many ways to reduce stress and overcome negative people around me

  12. SazS

    3.0 out of 5 stars

    It’s a Christian based guide

In a way the Christianity doesn’t detract from what he says but I didn’t notice when I bought it so I don’t think it’s overt.I was less bothered by the bible verses than his repetitiveness and restating the problem and negative effects way more than any help and solutions.I bought this relatively cheaply via Audible and it’s a short read. I’m glad I didn’t spend more. I’d say it’s helped me about 3/10.

    Not what was expected.

The title sounded interesting, but very misleading.A book based on religious practices is not what I expected or wanted.

A little too reliant on God for my liking. Not sure 25 ways to de-stress were in this book

I hope this book helps others. I found it to have a lot of filler, where I wanted to find the 25 ways to reduce stress and overthinking etc.A little too reliant on God as well to reduce and eliminate negativity for my liking.

    Excellent

We are living in a time of crisis. A time of fear and uncertainty. We are living in a time where most of the world population is confused weather by ongoing wars between countries for just a piece of land, or by the pandemic that distanced families, friends, colleagues, and church members. As a result of that people are psychologically, mentally, and physically sick. They are looking for solutions to their problems. While some are putting their faith in the social medias, others are looking for any alternatives to manage their fear for the future. The reason is simple. Overthinking is not the solution.Dr. Charles in his book laid down in a fashioned manner the problem when people are overthinking on either their life, career, or anything that challenged their future. In this book we discovered when someone is suffering frequently of headaches and dizziness this is a sign that communicated this person is abusing his mind by overthinking about something. In addition to that we have discovered in this book that stress, anxiety, and uncertainty are common problems for people around the world. In sum, this is book is well fitted in this era. By reading this book people will discover the right solution to their problems. Therefore, I strongly recommended this book to both the young and the old generation to read it, for they will find the starting point of their solution.

    REVIEW ON OVERTHINKING

In all honesty, I’m already overthinking about what to write in this review from what I read thus far.First and foremost, I like the story of Shakespeare used by the author and the beautiful quote saying: “A beautiful flower may bloom from a difficult situation.”I personally like the mention of Abraham Lincoln whom I learned to admire, considering what he went through and never gave up, overcame all the obstacles in reaching his goals. The thought process of Dr. Charles is basically telling me no to waste time in overthinking, but rather focus on the good that I may do. Mentioned that overthinking is a trap that we shouldn’t allow ourselves to fall into. I also thought the author provides us some unique tips to help us stop the cycle of repetitive and unhealthy thoughts.I thought this book offered great tips to help us in our daily and long term decision making. When we become aware of a problem is the first step to solving it. Acknowledging that we are sick is the first step through our healing process.Congratulations Dr. Charles great job!Vontz Philippe

    WONDERFUL BOOK

As a Christian living in the last days i spend most of my days overthinking how I can protect my family physically and spiritually. In this wonderful book written by Dr.Charles we given multiple ways to solve our overthinking with physical and spiritual solutions. There was one particular part of the book that stayed with me.“Stress, anxiety, and worry have become a common part of the modern lifestyle. Our stress levels remain unusually high even in situations when there should be no stress at all. ”It was as if Doctor Charles did a case study on my life. Due the fact I’m always overthinking and stressed. I almost have adopted these feelings to my daily life. Doctor Charles helped to see it is a unhealthy thing to do.Doctor Charles did not write a book he gives a free therapy session that heals the mental, spiritual and physical parts of your body.I hope this book heals and blesses many people in the way that it blessed me.

Overthinking Book is unique, it is a must read by everyone.

I highly recommend Overthinking book because it is is very practical and different from others. It presents the problems, the symptoms and best approaches to find resolution. It’s amazing how Author Charles explains that “headache and dizziness are sign that the mind and the body need rest; if you have them frequently, it is possible that you are analyzing things.” The book is very interesting and easy to read.It is pleasing to learn in this book that “negative thoughts are toxic to a healthy life and lead to deep unhappiness.” however, a balanced life will help you overcome overthinking, cultivate a new attitude, thank God for what you have. It provides assistance to overcome our repetitions of unhelpful negative thoughts and strategies to replace them by positive ones that bring peace , joy and love into your life.I like the takeaways and take actions in each chapters they are very helpful in the process of guiding people in overcoming the negative thoughts.

    Must Read

This book has been amazing. It describes everything that I feel but have not been able to express or talk to anyone about. It is amazing. If you are struggling in any type of way or going through a situation where you need clarity and a clearer perspective to get your life back on track this is for you. This book does look like it may be a copy reprinted and not the original but the content is worth the buy
